Lesson 4: Demonstrate primary emergency life support for adults, children and infants according to current international protocols

One rescuer Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) explained and demonstrated with and without the use of barrier ventilation devices, according to accepted protocols.

Lesson 5: Explain and manage shock.

Shock is identified, explained and managed according protocols.

Anaphylactic shock is identified, explained and managed symptomatically according protocols


Lesson 6: Conduct secondary assessment of the sick and/or injured person and provide appropriate primary emergency care within the workplace Identification and management of injuries and/or illnesses specific to a particular workplace.

Immobilization and transporting techniques for persons with neck and/or spinal injuries are according to emergency and workplace protocols.

Head injuries and levels of consciousness are recognized, monitored and managed according to protocols.
